Let's talk about Docker!

Ed Leighton-Dick, Founder/Principal Consultant Kingfisher Technologies

What? Why are we talking about Docker at a SQL Server user group? A) Because SQL Server can now run in containers B) Because it's good for DevOps C) Because it's great for development and testing D) All of the above The answer is D, of course! The ability of SQL 2017 to run in Linux got a lot of press, but its ability to run in containers is probably even more important. This opens up a lot of options that were previously impossible. The best part is that it's incredibly simple yet incredibly powerful - an irresistible combination. MVP Ed Leighton-Dick will lead a casual tour of Docker - what it is, how you can get started with it, and how we might be able to use it in the very near future. Bring your laptops if you want to follow along!
